Our journey begins as we depart Los Angeles on TK10 at 6:20pm on our non stop flight to Istanbul.

Saturday, April 26, 2014
 Arrive Istanbul airport at 5:10pm and connect with TK812 departing Istanbul at 7:45pm (Please buy a sandwich at Istanbul airport as the hotel will not provide dinner after 9:30pm).  Arrive Amman airport at 10:00pm where we will be welcomed by our tour guide.  Transfer to our hotel for overnight.

After breakfast we depart Amman and drive to Jerash which is considered the grandeur of Imperial Rome being one of the largest and most well preserved sites of Roman architecture in the world outside Italy. To this day, its paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theaters, public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and graves remain in exceptional condition.  Then we drive to Madaba and visit the church, home to a beautiful 6th century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Then, from the summit of Mount Nebo, we view the “Promised Land”.

Monday, April 28, 2014

This morning we drive to Petra for an unforgettable visit of the “rose red” city. We begin at the “Siq”, a winding canyon road. At the end of the passage, we will see Petra’s most beautiful monument – the Treasury.  We will discover temples, royal tombs, a theater and water channels. Return to our hotel in Amman.

Tuesday, April 29, 2014
Transfer to the border crossing on the River Jordan where we will be welcomed by our tour guide and bus driver from Jerusalem.  We stop by the Dead Sea to feel the warm and salty water, then at the baptismal site on the River Jordan and then continue to Jericho to view Mount of Temptation and ancient Jericho.  We drive up to Jerusalem, stopping en route in Bethany, to visit the church built on the traditional site of the House of Mary and Martha and their brother Lazarus.  Arrive Jerusalem.

We start with the Mount of Olives, the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of the Ascension and down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church. Pray at the Garden of Gethsemane and visit the Church of All Nations. On to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds’ Field and in the afternoon return to Jerusalem, stopping en route in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

Early morning transfer to the Old City to have our own procession of the “Way of the Cross” ending with Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After Mass we return to our hotel for breakfast and later we start our walking tour of the Old City by visiting the Church of St. Anne, the Pools of Bethesda and we walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall. Visit one of the underground excavations around the Temple Area. Then to Mount Zion, the Upper Room and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.  We pass by Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.  We return back to our hotel in Jerusalem.

This morning we drive to nearby Bethany where Jesus appeared to two of His disciples on the date of His resurrection.  Then continue through the West bank to the ancient city of Samaria (present day Nablus) to view Mount Ebal and Mount Garizim.  Later, we stop at Jacob’s Well located inside the Greek Orthodox Church.  Return to Jerusalem.

In the morning we will have a panoramic tour of the new part of Jerusalem passing by the Hebrew University and the Knesset.  Then we go down to the Kedron Valley and Silwan to see Hezekial’s tunnel.  We visit also Solomon’s Pools.  Afternoon at leisure for shopping and personal activities.

Sunday, May 4, 2014
We depart Jerusalem in the morning and drive to Haifa.  En route, we pass by Caesarea to see the ruins of the ancient Roman city with its aqueduct.  In Haifa, we visit the Carmelite Monastery and the church of the Prophet Elijah. Continue to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation, the Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well.

Monday, May 5, 2014
This morning we drive up to Mount Tabor or Mount Transfiguration to visit the Franciscan Church and Monastery, We stop in Cana for Holy Mass and renewal of wedding vows.  Then, we visit the places around the Sea o Galilee:  Mount Beatitudes, Capernaum, St. Peter’s House, Tabgha, and enjoy a boat ride, weather permitting.  Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Depart Tel Aviv airport on TK793 at 5:00am. Arrive Istanbul at 7:15am and connect with TK9 departing Istanbul at 12:45pm, arriving Los Angeles at 4:30pm.
